Basis Project Event – Forced to Flee: The voices behind asylum
Basis Project Event – Forced to Flee: The voices behind asylum
Refugee Action and Reading Refugee Support Group invite you to an evening of film and discussion which looks at what it is to be a refugee.
This event, jointly hosted by Refugee Action and Reading Refugee Support Group, explores the reasons why people flee their country and the difficulties refugees and asylum seekers face when trying to settle here in the UK.
A short film will be followed by a group discussion, and refugee community organisations will then have an opportunity to talk about their work.
Places are limited so RSVP as soon as possible. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The event is FREE and will take place from 1.30-4.30 p.m. at RISC Conference Hall in Reading, Berkshire.
Light refreshments will be provided.
