About us

The Testimony Project provides a voice for refugee women and the organisations that support them.

Women facing the UK asylum system do it on their own. Home Office policy deliberately suppresses and isolates those seeking asylum, keeping them out of sight, out of mind. The Testimony Projects works to counteract this.

By telling the stories that need to be told, and providing advice, support, and connections for refugee women and the organisations that support them, the project seeks to unite people, answer critical questions, post news, blogs and forum discussions, and provide a safe supportive space for women.

The Testimony Project. Speaking out about asylum

Our mission:

To tell the stories that need to be told.

To raise awareness of the human cost of seeking asylum in the UK.

To promote a positive image of asylum seekers.

To provide a safe space for refugee women to share stories, get information and make connections.
